Year 4 Timetable 2026-27

From the age of 3, our children benefit from specialist teaching in music, PE and French, and from age 7 (Year 3), every subject is taught by an experienced, specialist teacher.

Subject specialist teaching, rather than the traditional method of being taught by one classroom teacher each year, ensures high-quality, engaging lessons delivered by teachers with deep knowledge and passion – helping children to thrive, build confidence and develop a love of learning from the very start.

Furthermore, our small class sizes - typically around 14 to 20 pupils - mean that every child is known very well, supported and stretched.

The children also benefit from a healthy ratio of teaching assistants, adding an extra layer of care and academic support.

This expert teaching is complemented by our holistic approach to education, where academic rigour sits alongside sport, outdoor learning, drama, music and well-being. It’s a balance that develops the whole child - mind, body and character.
